Da Yan Chi Kung - Wild Goose Set is a set of gentle movements, co-ordinated with the breath and a focus on special acupoints.

These classes are designed for Adults.

  • Late year High School students can attend with parents but must attend the " Have a Try on Week 1", Beginner's Class Details (PDF format). the week preceeding the 6 or 7 week term to see if these classes are suitable for them.

  • Childrens classes: "Tai Chi for Schools" These are specially designed classes for children in schools. Children have different requirements, concentration span & control. Details:visit our website: www.taichiforschools.com .

  • Specials needs or disabilities: Our public classes cannot cater for those with disabilities, however we do conduct specially taylored classes for various groups including Deaf SA, Parapligics & physically challenged where funding is provided.

  • Courses are held in Adelaide - WAYVILLE (Tues pm) & North Adelaide (Fri 9.45am)

Course Format:

  • Course is 6 or 7 x 45 minute lessons, one lesson per week over 6 or 7 weeks.
  • Courses are conducted with the school terms.
  • Free Introduction Lesson for Beginners is held in the week prior to commencement of the course.
  • Class rules and conditions of enrollment are in the Student Information Sheet (PDF format) handed out to all Institute students when enrolling.

Cost:

  • Full course cost is $126.
  • Advance notice bookings either on or before the Free Introduction Lesson are discounted to $99 per person.
  • Student and Government concession card discounts may apply.
  • Seniors Card: we are "Official Providers" in the Seniors Card Programe. 30% disc $77.00 pp.

Class Numbers:

  • We may not be able to offer a course if there are less than 10 students in the class.
  • The Institute reserves the right to cancel or suspend any class with insufficient numbers to cover costs.
  • In the event of cancellation, your instructor will try to find another class that suits, transfer course fees to the next term, or refund course fees.

Is Doctor's Approval Required?

  • For those who are under current medical supervision, or taking prescribed medication, approval from your doctor is necessary before joining any exercise program.

Beginner's Course Content - Chi Kung (Chinese Yoga):

  • The Beginner's Course of Chi Kung is Section 1 of the first set of Chi Kung Shibashi.
  • The complete set takes 2 x 6 or 7 week terms to complete.
  • We recommend this course if you are looking for achievable, easy-to-follow exercise providing relaxation and health benefits.
  • No external practice is required, however it is encouraged!

Beginner's Course Content - Tai Chi:

  • The Beginner's Course of Tai Chi is Section 1 of the Yang Style Tai Chi in 24 Forms.
  • The complete set takes 3 x 6 or 7 week terms to complete.
  • We recommend this course if you are looking for slow, safe exerise, improved concentration and a challenge
  • A commitment to self-practice outside of class is required.

Advanced, Continuing & Returning Students

  • Course is 6 or 7 x 45 minute lessons, one lesson per week over 6 or 7 weeks.
  • Courses are conducted with the school terms.
  • Class rules and conditions of enrollment are in the Student Information Sheet (PDF format) handed out to all Institute students when enrolling.

Cost:

  • Full course cost is $126.
  • Advance bookings (prior to the commencement of the course) are discounted to $88 per person.
  • Earlybird bookings made a term in advance (by the end of week 7) of the previous term are discounted to $99 per person.
  • Student and Government concession card discounts may apply of $77.
  • SPECIAL OFFER for REVISION: Improve your confidence and quality - revise a section that you have already completed for just $66!
  • NEW - Family discounts for Chi Kung (Section 2) & Tai Chi Sections (2 & 3) for ongoing students. Available for: Immediate family ( living together, Parents & childern, Hubands & wives, defacto partners living at the same address) or those bring their grandparents. Proof maybe required, so bring it along, thankyou.

Advanced Course Content:

  • While we teach many different sets of Tai Chi and Chi Kung at the Institute, not all sets are on offer at all venues at the same time.
  • Advanced sets are offered only when sufficient students indicate their interest in learning those sets.
